Course Overview:
This course is ideal for the newly trained OMT to learn more tips and techniques for seamless Myo integration.
Upon completion of the course, the OMT will be able to integrate oral facial myofunctional therapy as an adjunct service complementing the course work taught in our AHS Mini-Residency with Dr. Ben Miraglia

Course Overview:
Registered dental hygienists are knowledgeable health care providers. Although, often, many only see our ability to "clean teeth." With a career as a myofunctional therapist you are able to apply all your existing oral health, development, and functional education to develop a private practice and impact more patients.
Allied Health providers such as registered nurses, nurse practitioners, occupational therapists, physical therapists and physician assistants are aligned in alternative wellness goals and skillset necessary to provide this modality. We have opened our course to this select group of professionals with a special module full of dental knowledge necessary to excel.

Mini Myo is a course designed for the clinician and team helping the toddler/preschool population.

Karese Laguerre, RDH, MAS™
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist
Karese is a dental hygiene 2013 graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry NJ and received her orofacial myology training from the IAOM in 2017. Karese owns her own private practice, The Myo Spot in New Jersey and is an industry leader in the quest for myofunctional therapy awareness and public education.
Her latest published book, Accomplished, delves into how to sleep better, eliminate burnout, and execute goals.
Brittny Sciarra Murphy, BS, RDH,
MAS™, COM®, QOM®
Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist
Brittny earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Hygiene from the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2011. She began her orofacial myofunctional therapy (OMT) journey in 2016. Brittny is the owner of CT Orofacial Myology and an accomplished industry leader. You can find her on her popular podcast, I SPY WITH MYO EYE.
Recently, she was featured on James Nestor's podcast bringing myofunctional therapy to light!
